I’ve been passionate about movement my entire life. An avid runner and fitness enthusiast, I’ve competed in marathons, adventure races, aerobic competitions, and mountain biking events. As a mother of three, I’ve coached many of my children’s school sports teams and was head coach of a youth track and field team. I graduated from Penn State with a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering in 1985 and worked as an engineer at General Electric and as a consultant at Phoenix Consulting.

Several years ago I founded Agile Motion Fitness specializing in small group fitness & yoga training. I’ve turned my passion into a business with the prime objective of helping people reconnect with their stronger, fitter, more flexible bodies.

I love Interval training! It makes higher intensity exercise attainable for everyone allowing clients at all fitness levels to “find their edge” and increase their metabolism. I put a priority on changing my workouts weekly to encourage muscle confusion and keep the classes fresh. Bodyweight exercises on the mat including many variations of squats, lunges, planks and push-ups provide the foundation of my training. Plyometric intervals add the cardiovascular punch and the “All Core All the Time” element of TRX strengthens and defines the midsection (like nothing else!) while performing resistance work.

I’ve been practicing Yoga for several years now. It’s not surprising that yoga poses are often prescribed as therapy for sports injury because they encourage healthy spinal movement and help to even out muscular imbalances. Flexibility is an often-neglected aspect of fitness and yoga checks that box in my book. The lessons that yoga teaches about looking inward, noticing alignment and bringing awareness to your movements has changed my emphasis in my own workouts and those that I design for my clients.
